Sophistication,
refined style, and all around luxury outdoor living are the focal points of OW
Lee’s 2014 year as they bolster their already prominent wrought aluminum line
of patio furniture with 2 new collections that take inspiration from European
design, but are made entirely in America. Madison and Viento were both
introduced at the International Casual Furniture Market last September, and
being on hand to see their handcrafted beauty and experience the comfort of the
deep seating options, we here at USA Outdoor Furniture were impressed with the
elegance imbued into every piece and the attention to the details, no matter
how small.
As
we begin our look into OW Lee’s future, we first examine the past and present. When
it came to bold transitional style combined with Grecian-styled elements, the
company’s wrought iron Palazzo collection was the star; a sophisticated blend
of distinction and comfort that would fit any style home. Capitalizing on that
popularity, OW Lee brings these elements as well as a modern take on neoclassical
design to their wrought aluminum line with
the
Madison collection.
A full collection complete with both outdoor dining and
deep seat lounging options, Madison finds a way to keep it simple but stunning
with bold lines and a transitional profile much akin to Palazzo, but with a
focus on more refined appeal. Noted as a, “true showpiece” Madison furniture
will easily become the main attraction of your outdoor living space whether
creating a casual dining environment or a full on outdoor living room.
Not
to be outdone,
Viento proves to be
just as worthy of the phrase “luxury patio furniture” with its extremely
detailed metalwork which takes inspiration from 18
th century Europe.
Aptly named, as Viento is Spanish for wind, the highlight of this collection is
the controlled chaos of its beautiful back design which captures a physical
representation of swirling winds as they blow across the countryside. Where Viento
perhaps outdoes Madison in the upcoming patio season is that it was designed to
include coordinated fire pit options (round and rectangle) as well as
specialized hanging wall art that OW Lee President Terri Lee Rogers noted, “Will
give the consumer a full package to design their outdoor room around.”
Both
collections make use of only the highest quality materials and are handcrafted
to specification and offered in 9 different frame finishes as well as with over
100 Sunbrella fabric options for those pieces with cushions. In addition to
these two full collections, OW Lee has also introduced a few new to 2014 individual
products such as the Aero Fire Pit Table and a new sectional to their existing Monterra collection. Both are currently live on site and available for sale,
but keep checking back with the USA Outdoor Outlook for an in depth look at
both products in the near future.
