Still utilizing the same fibers from their previous cushions, Lloyd Flanders has
updated how the fiber batting is structured which enhances both the comfort and
support of each cushion through a layered system. this new cushioning system
relies heavily on two components; the inner core and outer core. The support
offered by Lloyd Flanders cushions comes from its inner core which is comprised
from what is known as conjugated polyester fiber. The fibers feature a three
dimensional crimp which is responsible for a significant increase in cushion
resiliency and has become a trusted replacement for that of polyurethane foam.
The next layer, the outer core, features a silicone-treated polyester batting
that is placed between the inner core and the outer wrap of the cushion. This
layer is what provides the exceptional comfort and offers that "soft
landing" feel right before you reach the support of the inner core.
One of the best features of the new and improved Lloyd Flanders CLOUD Cushioning is
that with the use of fibers instead of foam, each cushion is hydrophobic
(drains and dries more easily) making them resistant to mildew. The cushioning
is also hypoallergenic and antimicrobial; and these components coupled with the
fast drying nature of CLOUD cushioning provides a level of comfort for the mind
as well knowing that your cushions will not promote the growth of bacteria nor will it produce allergens.
