Founded
in 1953, Homecrest Outdoor Living wasted little time having a major impact on the casual furniture
industry and not but 3 years later did the Made in the USA Manufacturer develop
and patent the invention of the, “original swivel rocker mechanism.” Beginning
in 1956, this unique mechanism has changed the way we relax outdoors and with
Homecrest furniture now available at USA Outdoor we spotlight this original
innovation, which is still a part of several of Homecrest’s most popular and
time-tested collections today.
Motion-based
seating has become something of a trend as of late, especially when it comes to
adding a bit of rocking relaxation to already comfortable deep-seat cushion and
sling chairs, and Homecrest has delivered a wide variety of chairs that move
both side to side and rock back and forth. Where the company takes a step ahead
of the rest is with the original swivel rocker mechanism which is used in both their
lounge seating and their balcony height stools (the ONLY Company in the
industry to offer swivel rocking counter chairs.) This invention allows for the
smoothest rock that will hold up within all outdoor environments and can be
found as part of collections such as the Havenhill, modern look Mirage, and
classic favorite Legendary.
What Goes Into
Insuring Quality, Long Lasting, Rocking?
•
Triple coil springs provide superior durability, and a smooth balanced rocking
motion.
•
Top swivel plate and springs are electroplated with zinc prior to painting for
added protection to welded surfaces from outdoor elements.
•
Stainless steel ball bearings on a nylon race are placed between 2 swivel
plates which provide the smooth wobble-free swivel action.
•
Settings for adjustments on undercarriage will allow individual comfort
selection by moving undercarriage forward or backwards.
•Each base is fitted with 6 Polycarbonate clear stem glides to protect the
surface of the metal as well as patio and deck surfaces.
•
No bars across the front edge; eliminates pressure under your legs on all
seating pieces.
• Swivel mechanism is tested under load to 1 million
cycles to ensure long life.
An industry favorite, Homecrest’s original swivel rocker
mechanism has found its way into patio arrangement after patio arrangement and
with its promised durability, it’s a given that Homecrest will be synonymous
with motion-based, comfortable furniture for years to come.
